In accordance with Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements, students MUST attend 100% of the total course hours to receive credit (see Remote Delivery Manual, Reporting Training Guidance).

NOTE: IT IS A RUMOR that they can miss no more than ten percent (10%) of the total course hours (see 10% Unwritten Rule Briefing)

Instructors are responsible for verifying and documenting student attendance. If a student misses a limited portion of class time, it is at the instructor’s discretion to determine whether the absence can be made up.

If the missed time can be reasonably accommodated, the instructor shall coordinate with the student to establish an appropriate make-up plan. All absences and make-up arrangements must be reported to Kevin Lunsford and Danna Rother (training@texaspolicechiefs.org) for review and recordkeeping.
