In accordance with Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements, students may miss no more than ten percent (10%) of the total course hours in order to receive credit for the class.
Instructors are responsible for verifying and documenting student attendance. If a student misses a limited portion of class time, it is at the instructor’s discretion to determine whether the absence can be made up.
If the missed time can be reasonably accommodated, the instructor shall coordinate with the student to establish an appropriate make-up plan. All absences and make-up arrangements must be reported to Kevin Lunsford and Danna Rother (training@texaspolicechiefs.org) for review and recordkeeping.
